When your Mind Jumps to the Worst: Navigating Uncertainty Without spiraling

And yet sometimes we make it more difficult on ourselves with how we respond to the uncertainty. And what I mean is that often we write a script in our heads of what's going to happen and even worst case scenarios and catastrophic thinking that we might believe is going to prepare us for the worst. And maybe we'll be less disappointed if that's our frame of mind or something. But I think what's often the case is that it doesn't really prepare you, and in fact it creates a lot of anxiety and fear and distraction from present life and reality when we're so focused on this script that we are so sure of how it's going to play out.
